Works for Office 2106 and Office/365 as well. reg export and import will work properly. pst file as well even for IMAP but doesn't have to have anything in it. It's a simple reg file export from old machine and import on new machine. Then write it down somewhere off line - keep it in a file e.g word / excel or whatever and save the file to an external device.īTW to save outlook stuff (all of it except passwords) simply have a look at the Office the tread in these Forums.

IMO it's a much better idea with a new PC to logon to your favourite websites one by one (you can copy over bookmarks etc with firefox and most other browsers I think) and then use the 'forgotten password' that appears on most sites to get an email link and then generate a new one. The biggest threat to users machines these days doesn't come from Virus's etc but fraud / identity theft, scamming in general etc and retrieving users passwords is one of the first thing scammers will try and get. Actually I hate the idea of stored passwords being left on a computer -if they aren't on the machine they can't be hacked.
